CODE OF SILENCE

Mark has just finished work on the opening episode of the highly anticipated new ITV thriller: Code of Silence. The story is uniquely told through the point of view of Alison Brooks, a deaf canteen worker played by Rose Ayling-Ellis. Alison finds herself unexpectedly pulled into a high-stakes police investigation when DS Ashleigh Francis, (Charlotte Ritchie) requests her assistance in using her lip-reading skills to monitor the activities of a dangerous criminal gang. KJ Apa, Archie Renaud and Isabel May star in Falling, an indie movie about the romantic lives of young professional Londoners. Jack is a quick-witted but commitment-phobic guy who finds himself caught in a love triangle when he falls for Jillian, unaware that his best friend Johnny also harbours feelings for her. The Serpent

Without Sin

Part of the launch of ITVX, this “moody and meticulously crafted whodunnit” follows Stella, the mother of a murdered teenager, who agrees to meet the killer in prison as part of a restorative justice programme, but is soon unsure about where the guilt really lies. From new writer Frances Poletti, and based in some of the grittier areas of Nottingham the mini-series got impressive reviews for Vicky McClure and Johnny Harris’ central performances, but also for tackling themes of guilt, motherhood, and broken lives.

The series was directed by Al MacKay and Mark edited the opening episode and episode 3.
